Travelling Exhibitions
My experience of travelling exhibitions stretches from my early days at the Science Museum (I stated there in year 2000) to a number of more recent projects I managed whilst at KCA London. At the Science Museum I was responsible for the practical aspects of touring ‘Science of Sport’. This took me all over Europe, across to America and even to China where I trained a Chinese crew in how to install and get-out the exhibition and tour it around the country ending in Beijing for the Olympics in 2008). Move Over Einstein was another Science Museum project. At KCA London I have designed, developed and managed the build of various other travelling exhibition projects.

'Saudi 2050' - King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE). Whilst at KCA London I helped develop and tour this, the first touring exhibition for Mishkat Centre for Atomic and Renewable Energy (the science centre we developed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia).

Saudi 2050 includes hands on interactive exhibits, futuristic objects augmented by digital technology, and a tactile multimedia interactive where visitors create their own future creations guided by scientists and futurists. We worked with multimedia specialists Kiss the Frog, to create this unique interactive experience. The exhibition premiered at the Saudi Aramco Cultural Program in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It also travelled to the COP 18 UN Climate Change Conference in Doha, Qatar, and to the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi. It continues to tour the region.

'Move Over Einstein' - A travelling exhibition for the Institute of Physics. This was to mark the centenary of Einstein's release of his papers on special relativity (1905 - 2005) and it told the stories of a number of contemporary physicists who have built on his legacy. The challenge was to make the sometimes complex scientific stories accessible to a young audience. I was responsible for developing a set of exhibits that gave simple but fun entry-points into the content. AllOfUs produced an iconic centrepiece for the exhibition where visitors were invited to cycle around inside Einstein's imagination and travel on a light beam in his famous thought experiment.

'Keep Britain Smiling' - Colgate. This was an exhibition to explain and encourage dental hygiene. It traveled around the country visiting science centres as well as public spaces such as shopping centres. Here it is pictured in Westfield shopping centre in White City, London.

The Green-Up Bus - For Luton Council. Designed with Dan Howarth whilst at the Science Museum, this bus traveled around visiting schools and encouraging sustainability. I was responsible for developing a number of computer games, a database and other resources to tell the story of how we should all try harder to 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle'

'Science of Sport' - The Science Museum. This was a hugely popular exhibition that traveled all over the world. I was responsible for over-seeing its installation and get out in many countries as well as troubleshooting and fixing any issues that arose with its many exhibits.

'Chelsea World of Sport' - Chelsea football club. / 'Science of Soccer' - South Africa / 'Science of Sport' - China. A number of additional sports exhibits were inspired by 'Science of Sport' over the years and designed by myself and my design partner at the time Dan Howarth.
'Rethink Rubbish Bus' - This bus was designed and built for East Sussex council whilst I was at the Science Museum.
